Certainly, just please give me credit. :)

Here's another, the R9s next to a SIG P225.  The P225 is also 9mm, and holds 8+1 rounds.  Kinda hard to justify carrying the P225 with that size difference and only 2 more rounds of 9mm...

The Rohrbaughs certainly have paid attention to detail.  Even the bottom of the magazine baseplate oozes quality.

Nice pictures, and good comparisons.

Remember the difference between a pocket gun and a primary weapon.  The Sig P225 would have the advantages of greater accuracy (especially if night sights are needed), greater speed from the holster, faster, more accurate follow-up shots, and faster reloading.

That said, it is very nice to see pocket guns coming as far as they have.

Nice photos!  The idea of a pocket pistol is it should always be carried, because it can. The larger pistols ie: P226, 1911 & etc., may be a better choice because of size, sights, size of hole & etc., but if you don't have it with you because of the bulk or weight, it does not do much good.  Tom

HK ...... on this forum we can only use ''hot links'' .. AFAIK.  You need therefore to have pic or pics hosted somewhere on a server.  Some of the free image-hosting sights might do.  I answered this for someone else a while ago, and I'll repeat it for you ........

Quote
Well ... two choices really ... the first is free pic hosting .. tho I guess there are some odd catches like banner ad's etc.  Lot of people use .... http://photobucket.com/

Or go HERE where you'll find a number of links for this service.  No experience of any but - could be worth exploring some.

Second option ..... is to get some free webspace on a server .... and use that to upload and store some pics.

Take a peek at ....

http://www.freeservers.com/

Or - go look HERE and see what might be available.

It does help hugely if you can keep some pics handy on the web .. then all you need is to ''hot link'' to them when needed.

To actually post a hosted pic ...... you click on the icon above in message box .... YABBC tags, lower row, fourth from left. That generates tags like this (tho I have changed square braces to curlies) .... {img}{/img}.

The URL of your pic ..... goes in between .. so if the URL to your pic was ''http://www.picstorage.com/HKpix/myr9.jpg'' then the final assembly to bring up your pic on the posting would be .......

{img}'http://www.picstorage.com/HKpix/myr9.jpg{/img}

Remember, I have had to substitute curly braces here.  It is alsomworth noting that a couple of line returns are useful after text and between images, to separate them.

Another point .... IMO well worth keeping pics down in size .. maybe 600 - 700 pixels max dimension and a file size of 50k or so - which means quite fair JPG compression .... saves download time and bandwidth.

Hope this may help some.

R-9 vs Colt Pony
« Reply #11 on: November 21, 2004, 11:39:37 AM »
If someone has a Colt Pony they could photograph beside their R-9, Please do so. I would very much like to see that comparison. I'm trying to decide if I want to make the purchase. I have a PM-9 and really like it, but that R-9 looks so very tempting. So, I'm trying to convince myself that I should spend that much money.  :-/

The 1938 Nazi Weapons Law is alive and well in the United States, and is called, "The Gun Control act of 1968", and is enforced by the modern day gestapo, known as the BATF.
