Smooth-Kote anyone?
« on: August 14, 2010, 12:08:40 AM »
I've been trying different lubricants on the pup.  First Hoppe's Elite Oil, then Hornady One Shot (like it), now I've just ordered some Ballistol.  Which is recommended by many on this and other forums?

A friend today told me about Smooth-Kote from Sentry Solutions.  Has anyone tried it on their pup or other guns?

Never heard of it, so since you brought it up I am curious myself now.

I have never used Sentry Solutions products either.

This seems like some good stuff.  Never tried it either; looks like a good option.

$6.95 is very cheap for a moly based product!

The write up was impressive

I think I'm going to order some just to give it a try.  I agree.  Can't beat the price.

I recently purchased some EEZOX which is suppose to be like a teflon coat, allowing better lubrication but you have rid the gun of the oil base stuff we nornally so the only thing on my pistol right now is the EEZOX. has anyone else tried this on their R9 yet? or does anyone know if it works?  ::)

I use the Eezox on all my guns and am very happy with it. There are several other members who use the Eezox on there guns also.
I had my pup finished with the Robar NP3 finish and it and requires less lube than a standard model.

Thanks for the feed back John, I was worried for while I feel better now.

I have two pistols at ROBAR now being refinished, I was thinking of sending my pup next, but I carry it everyday and they will have my other two at least 2 months.  I am not sure I want to be without mine for that long.  :D
