Didn't see any mention of CLP.....Do you guys see any reason why I shouldn't use it on the R9S?  I owned an early Farmingdale R9S and used the "required" super lube until I sold the pup.  Now I got my new Stealth, and I'm thinking why not use the CLP?  I already have it and like it.

I would think it would be fine.  If you like it and it worked on your earlier R9, I would use it.  Does your CLP have Teflon?  Just wondering if the link is what you have?

I use CLP as well. To be honest, almost any gun oil will be just fine. Trying to choose the best is just splitting hairs IMHO.

There are now so many excellent products through improved technology that it is, as you say, difficult to single one out.

I agree.  It really is what you like.  I have Ballistol and Militec and they are both excellent.  I've settled on Ballistol but the Militec is standing by.

I use the CLP on all my guns and am very happy with it, with the Robar finish on the pup I don't use as much as on the others.

I mentioned to "Herself" that Ballistol might even be a good after-shave lotion -- to which "Herself" replied, "Not for anyone who intends to rest his head on my custom-made pillow cases."  (So much for that idea.)

Do you also use Ballistol to clean the gun, or just to lubricate it?

I'm curious as the Hornady One Shot is a cleaner/lube in one.  Spray it on, wipe it off.  And then spray a light coat to lube it.

The CLP is used the same way (Cleans / Lubricates / Protects)

Sometimes I cheat and use Hoppes #9 if I shot a match with 100 or so rounds.  Not the R9 of course.

Just  quicker, however the R9 only gets Ballistol.

I was thinking of putting it on my cast iron grates in my Webber grill?  Any advice?

Not the R9....Ballistol...I'm bad at this.
