DeSantis Pocket Shot Holster for R9S?

Does anyone know if our R9's fit this back pocket wallet holster?  It is not listed on the DeSantis web site.

Ok, found the holster on the site.  I have similar ones for other guns - this one is for the KT P3AT.

These holsters are VERY gun specific and I doubt very seriously that you could adapt one for the R9  without tearing the holster apart and restitching and glueing.

The market problably is not there for a big holster maker like Desantis to tool up for an R9.

Your best bet would probably be a custom maker.

I believe Yankee had one for sale here not too long ago.  Maybe he can tell you where to get one made.

Reinz: I went to a local gun shop today that sells the DeSantis Pocket Shot and the R9 fit in.  It was just a bit snug BUT it fit!  I worked the slide with no interference.  The store owner had one in his back pocket for his P3-AT and they both appeared identical, other than I had to push down in.  He stated that they do loosed up a bit as the leather stretches.  I think this one works! It has two holes: one for the trigger finger and the other for your middle finger...me like!

If you compare the specs of the Keltec P3-AT to the R9 the differences are very minor!

After seeing how it fit in the Pocket Shot I'm going to order one.  The spec differences compared to the P3-AT:

1. Same length
2. R9 is .042" wider
3. R9 is .2" taller

Wonder why DeSantis doesn't list it for the R9?

I do wonder how it will handle with the extra recoil though ?

My first thought is - it's probably a good thing that it fits tight - due to the recoil.

I like the idea of these holsters but dislike the open trigger. Although I think it would be hard to cause the gun to fire it would suck to find out I was wrong.

Agreed.  Under what circumstances  do you envision that possibility? I'd like to hear any thoughts.

When there is a gun in my right front pocket even though it's in a holster that covers the trigger there is never anything else in that pocket.
   With all the EDC items people tend to carry today any item small enough to enter the trigger area could cause the gun to fire. (pen, keys, flashlight, knife) who knows what else some people shove in there pocket not thinking. Just bending over crouching down or sitting could push one of these items into the trigger.
You always have Murphy's Law to contend with.

Good points!  I often put my car keys in that rear right pocket so that's gonna change!

I am also not fan of any pocket holster that doesn't protect trigger.  Amongst my collection of R9 holsters is a DeSantis SuperFly.  I wrote DeSantis to see what model was correct.  They told me you will need item #M44BJG2Z0 which, I believe, was for the Beretta tomcat sized pistol, if DeSantis is way you want to go.  It is VERY sticky in the pocket.

The newest one rec'd is a DM Bullard out of Aledo, TX - PWC Holster for Rohrbaugh R9 in rough-out with matching pocket magazine holder.  If I can figure out how to post a pic, I will.
