DeSantis is the manufacturer.  All of their products are top rate.  the 086 speed scabbard i received for my R9 is great.  However my prefered carry method is with my Mika Pocket Holsters.

This was discovered accidentally but Don Hume makes a slide holster for the HK p7 that fits the R9 like a hand in a glove: good quality and low price.

Also, here is a very interesting thought on seated vehicle carry: turn this right handed JIT slide holster around, put it on your right side. Just another thought on vehicle carry.

Back in uniform days, we used to have the revolver in a swivel holster and just slid it around on our belt so it was always in our lap in the car. It was just like these but no retention strap:

In plain clothes, I often wore the same thing. Once we were out of the car, the jig was up anyway. They knew what time it was at that point. I always liked how accessible the gun was hanging low down your leg half way down your thigh. It didn't matter what coat or bulky hoodie, you had on, you could still always grab it.
Any of you brothers who remember your old swivel holster would understand.[/size]

Man that is OLD SCHOOL, cool!

And to think, back in the day, that was high tech.

Love looking back at that stuff.

Thanks for sharing Joe.

I ordered that same holster a few weeks back and it is very comfortable. The pistiol just disappears under almost any shirt. I also like having my pocket back.

Since it was slid around to our lap while riding in the car, the swivel holster would collect crumbs from whatever we ate, soup crackers, fried chicken crumbs, etc...  The bottom of the holster was closed, so there would be nowhere for the junk to go. Every once in awhile, we would rotate the holster upside down without the gun in it and bang it with our hand to loosen the crap to fall out. But it being a reliable revolver, i never worried that the crap would prevent the gun from working properly if needed.

yeah, i love that holster. I have almost an identical one made for the Kahr P380, and the R9 fits perfectly in it, but i bought this one anyway.

Thats a better price but it's not a DeSantis holster like Rohrbaugh sells, so were not comparing apples to apples.
Kind of like someone looking for a better price on a Rohrbaugh and you give them the link to a Keltec. ;D ;D
