Here are the pics!

The laser etching of the NRA logo on the slide didn't work, so it got moved to the grips.

R-5000 will come with two (2) sets of custom Hogue G10 grips: one smooth and the other checkered, with the NRA block letter logo on one side and the circle logo with the American Eagle on the other side. Neil Hogue donated the grip sets. (Thanks Neil!)

If you ask me -- this is a nice looking pistol!

Very nice looking grips!!

It is too bad that the etching did not work on the slide though-that would have been great!!!

It will still look nice next to my Farmies!! ;)

Cool serial #, and sorta neat looking grips.  It's to bad the slide did not get the logo's.   Good luck to any that are in on the chance of getting it!  Post up some pics if any of you do wind up with it.  I'm betting that if one of the forum members does not "win" it that we'll see it on Gunbroker soon.

I was thinking that R5000 was going to have much more "BLING" that it turned out to have.  I need to stop thinking so much so I won't be disappointed so often.   It's still a Rohrbaugh so it is SUPER NICE but I had thought that it would get more of a "treatment" than just some etched grips.

Yeah, I think that part of it was how quickly this hold deal unfolded...  Nonetheless, it will be a great collector piece!

Collector my left foot, if I win it's a shooter after it comes back from Bob Cogan. If I get it for free I will have plenty of money for custom work. The grips will be up for sale, I'm not a big G-10 fan.
