I don't hate Glocks, they have their place.

I wear mine when I'm in the woods as a backup to my long gun.
That way I could give a rip if it gets scratched up, beat up, muddied up or even gets blood on it - hell it's a Glock.

If it was one of my Smith's, Wilsons, or Baer's I'd have a coronary!

One thing I've learned from all of this is that I should never say "never." My affinity for carbon fiber, stainless steel, aircraft aluminum, chrome, ivory, sterling silver and such is well documented on the Forum. Who would have thought that my own little wife would provide the impetus for my entry into the world of what one of my old acquaintences used to call, "The Black Guns."

I could say "never," but I just learned not to say that -- so I'll just say, "maybe."  

That Subcompact Slimline .45 ACP G36 did look interesting as an indestructible "truck gun."

Richard my son has just that gun and loves it.  I shot it a number of times and the recoil is very manageable.

I have a 32c that I keep in my car and turned my 22 into a race gun.  

I do love Golcks.

I also own the G36 and love it. I was very surprised at the accuracy. ACP, as I recall, also owns of those.

Richard - I have to agree with your feelings about "never".

When I was younger I saw no use for engraving and thought it gaudy.  And thought I would never want or own an engraved gun.

Now I enjoy, appreciate, admire other's and even own such.

Just thinking about it, I used to think the Glock was very undesirable to look at and then decided I wanted a .357 Sig.  Then with some helpful advice from tracker, Dino, and ACP, the deal was sealed for the Glock 33.

Never have regretted it one bit.  That thing spit out a box of 50 in nothing flat as I had preloaded 4 mags; did have to reload mags, of course.  The ammo was Federal UMC which was the only ammo I could find at the time.  

The 33 didn't mind whatsoever the name that was on the box.  Now this is one fun gun to shoot.

Just returned home from Critter Creek to find the Ron Graham elephant-hide holster waiting. It's absolutely beautiful. Also received notice that the G17 will be ready to collect on Tuesday morning. Photos to follow before the Glock heads off to Texas for some of TJ's magic.
