Cold Steel makes a good knife and Knife Outlet is a fine source for other brands. I think Microtech is one of the best but very expensive.

A good example of a Microtech in D2 steel--very durable.

You may also be interested in this arm of Microtech which is moving to N.C.

Tracker. Thanks. I've been looking at a Microtech STG-E4 Rifle at our Gun Shop. I'm slowly convincing myself, I need it, however, not completely.
I didn't know they made knives. That's good to know.

They have been in the knife business for quite awhile. I bought one about 15 years ago, almost choked at the price but bought it on the recommendation of a friend and am grateful to him.

I need a good knife. I carry a Case small pocket knife, very sharp, but of course, no spring assist. I have switch blades, but too big to carry, at least, for me.
Craig started a good thread here.

I have lots of knifes, but only two that I use regularly.
My EDC is Benchmade's Gaucho with Axis lock. I have two of these and alternate them.
My other knive is ColdSteel's Rajah 2. I would consider this my survival knife. Check out the link for the video on this one:

For the survival knife, it would be hard to beat Doug Ritter's version.

THANK YOU ccw for posting that link! That is exactly what I was visualizing! I was so impressed I ordered an RSK Mk1 right away. Also ordered and RSK Mk3 fixed blade. Very impressive design details.
I am so excited...now I have to wait for the delivery...

WOW! Received the RSK MK1 3.5” folder and RSK MK3 4.5” fixed blade knives today. Did I say WOW yet?
Both very impressive knives. If you have not yet done so go the link that ccw posted above to learn about these knives.
These are most definitely the knives for my bug out pack.
Thanks again for the tip ccs.
Now for the hot tub knife…

Craig. The two looked like excellent knives, for sure. Sounds like you are a happy camper.
