New Shop for K&D Holsters
« on: August 20, 2006, 07:08:49 PM »
Here's a few pics of our new shop.  The 1,000 sq feet of space sure is nice.  We built an office within that sq footage, along with some other storage.  The next step in the process is getting our FFL in order to offer some special deals.

Our sign outside the door:

Yee-haw :)

Nice set up there Kevin - must feel like luxury.  Relieved to see Coke still in evidence ;)

I'll betcha by another 12 months gone - it'll look a tad less tidy!  Could well be of course - more than likely - you are a way tidier worker than me - I am a pack rat plus!!

Congratulations, Kevin.  I bet you are glad to complete the move.

I wish my place was that well organized.

I'll be bringing my Coke machine over to the shop in the near future, and I just scored a 50-year old 30" x 60" coke sign that will be hung at the shop.  :D

I went out to vist Kevin at the shop -- it is a very nice set-up with a lot of room to grow.  A tad warm in the summertime, but hey -- its Florida.

Hot !! I know what you are talking about.  My son just started a new business [1 year ago] and set up in a building of that type.  IT IS HOT !   My son placed a SOAKER HOSE on the roof.,.  It really helped.  The next step is  INSULATION for the whole building..

Thanks for the comments everyone.  There is a lot of new stuff planned over the next few months that will broaden the products that we offer.

RJ:

With respect to it being hot in the shop, it's really not that bad.  There's an exhaust fan, there's two very large floor fans, and there's a window air conditioner in the office.  Plus in addition to the regular entry door into the office, there's a 10-foot roll up door.  Perhaps I'm a little more tolerant of the environment than others might be, but I'm not going to balk at the ~$40 electric bill for the month.  ;)

Now, about that Cross-draw for my Steyr S9...  ;)

Congrats, and I hope you guys love the new digs!
