I think it should be some type of shoulder/chest holster. Maybe Kydex/other synthetic.

Nylon might be easier on that custom black finish you mentioned on another thread. Here's one link:

Yep. With regard to a .454 Casull, you could paraphrase the Mexican Bandit in "Blazing Saddles" -- "Moonclips? We don't need no stinking moonclips!"
