We were never thinking of carrying one. We were thinking more along the lines of a car or house gun. In the very near future I am going to declare myself retired (again) and our plans are to travel for a year or two around the country in either a 5th wheel or Motorhome. I was thinking a gun like this would be a good companion.

Just make sure you don't decide to see Niagara Falls, NY has a very short list of Reciprocal States. (Zero)    
And a zero tolerance for weapons brought in.

Sadly, one of the reasons I plan to never visit that state again in my lifetime.
The only time I ever went was because I had to go on business.

Then I missed many promotions because I downright refused to move to the NY area to work at the NYC home office which was mandatory.

My stubborness is why I am not a rich man today.

I spent a little time in Northern Texas and like Florida it's a good place to visit but it's too hot in the summer for me.
