New Project - Yugo M92
« on: January 17, 2010, 04:16:58 PM »
I decided I wanted to build an AK.  Looked around at all of the various styles and decided to go with the newer Yugo M92 Krinkov.  I've got someone local that has built over 200 AK's, so he's got the knowledge and tools, to help me with this project.  I plan on keeping it an SBR vs. extending the barrel with a fake suppressor.  I'll just have to do the paperwork and pay the tax.
Here's what I've got.

Here's what it'll look like when I'm done.

I can't wait to get her up and running  ;D

That looks real nice.  I've built percussion black powder guns from kits, perhaps I'll have to try one of these.

How much do they run and how hard are they to put together?

ItsOnlyMoney.  How did the plan work out?  Is the Yugo M92 together?  Just wondering!

I'm holding off for a bit.  I've got to wait for all the paperwork to be completed first.  I'm having an attorney create an NFA specific trust to place this SBR in and submit the Form 1.  Got to do it legal, don't want to be in violation of any federal law.

I do understand.  Legal is quite a process, but necessary.

They're finally together.  And both registered SBR's.  In addition to the Yugo M92 I also had a Bulgarian AKS-74U built at the same time.  I had the opportunity to test fire them both yesterday and they're a lot of fun to shoot.  The guy that built them also has an SOT license which allows him to build / have full auto rifles.  He had several full auto ak's.  Needless to say that was an experience.  It's not everyday I get to shoot full auto  ;D.

Fine looking pair, the AK is the 1911 of rifles plain or fancy they are reliable and come in many forms with tons of aftermarket goodies.

Glad to see this project finished.  Excellent looking pair, for sure.  The fully auto's are a real experience.    :)
