My pup just got a new big sister

I picked up a NightHawk Heinie Lady Hawk  45 ACP today. I tiried out a clip before I left the shop - the accuracy and feel were unbelievable. It makes a big hole (follow up shots tend to go through the initial hole) with a beautiful feather trigger and no noticable recoil tossing 230 grain rounds downrange. I think I just got my new primary CC to ride along with my BU pup. Yes it called a Lady Hawk - but I don't care if its called Tutti Frutti with its thin, small profile and performance.

Sounds interesting enough.  Where are those pictures?  I know, we can look it up.  Really though, glad you like the performance and yep, the name doesn't matter as long as you like it.

I took a phone pic of my pup and lady together - just can't figure out how to post it. Be happy to email it to anyone willing to lend a hand. I sent you the pic at least. I think the lady and the pup go nicely together.

I think you can order the same gun without the name stamp on it if I'm not mistaking.

Actually now you have to request the name - mine doesn't have "lady hawk" stamped - but even if it did I would just find it amusing - it feel nice in my small hands - just like the pup. Just another instance of "What's in a name?"

Great idea but I've seen that gun and liked it a lot no matter what is stamped on it. The only people who would have to know would be the police who tagged it after you defended yourself and maybe the court of law. In that case lady might work better than terminator, for example; clever name, that Colt Defender. Judge?

 Nice looking Piece. My wife is looking for a .45 and Lady Hawk is on her list to feel. We just cannot find one local for her to hold. She tried the T3 and did not like the Balance . So far she likes the Kimber Ultra CDP, so the new Ultra Super Carry is at the top,  Now if I could find a Lady Hawk..... That is really a nice gun.

Speaking from a lady's point of view - a 1911 in 9mm is one of the nicest to shoot. OH BOY! the frame absorbs most of the recoil and it's very accurate.  

I also have a .45 Colt Defender which is a second favorite.

A Lady Hawk has been on my wishlist.
