Glock 33 Range Time
« on: August 20, 2009, 07:02:03 PM »
The Glock 33 performed through 50 rds flawlessly.  It's like an R9 on steroids.  With that being said, it has about 1/3 the recoil of my .454 Ruger Alaskan, very controllable one handed shooting.  Ammo was Remington UMC 125 gr. metal case.  Did not try the Federal Personal Defense HP.

I highly recommend this subcompact for those who want a .357 sig.  My impression is.......GREAT!

Glad to hear the excellent report; anything that will fire 50
rounds of UMC without a hiccup is good to go with most any
ammo.

Thanks, tracker, and thanks for pointing me in the direction of the Glock.  I am very pleased with it and its' performance.

The reputation of the Glock lives on.  I had heard of the Glock's quality and reliability for years, but never experienced it, until today.  Thanks again.

Glad you like your 33 KJ, now you can start your on Glock collection.

I know, I know, who collects Glocks?

Anyone who ever shoots one long enough. I should not say collect because I shoot everyone I have often.

Easy to modify however they are great stock, easy to take down and clean.

I have one 17, two 22's, one is a race gun I built, a 32C  and a 19.

Love them all.

Good luck with the 33 and have fun shooting it now that ammo is available again.

Thanks, Dino,  There's one thing for sure, I really like it.  The performance was great.  I shot rapid fire with no problems, and just anyway I wanted to shoot it.  Went through the 4 mags in no time and reloaded for the last 9 rounds in the box.  The mags, two nine rds, a 10 rd with mag extension, and a 13 rd.

I will have more Glocks!

kj, glad you are happy with the Glock and had a good outing at the range. But almost all range outings with Glocks are good. I have had my G-19 for over twenty years and have fifteen thousand plus rounds through it and have never had any issues with it. This year I put in a stainless guide rod spring assembly and a Wolf ported barrel, only because I got them cheap off one of the forums ;D

John.  I am impressed with the Glock.  Lots of firepower in such a little gun; the quality and reliability are great.

kj, I had a G-26 (9mm) sold it to my son-inlaw who carries it often, and I had a G-36 (45acp) that I traded for my Colt New Agent. I will probably have another Glock at some point in time.

John.  I will have more Glocks now as well.  Don't know  which ones, and  don't need another .45, except for the R-45, however, do like the G36.

Thanks, Dino.  I am still having trouble finding .357 sig ammo in NC but did see where Cabelas' has Ultramax in bulk, 300 rds for $129.95.

I just noticed that Ultramax is remanufactured ammo.

Another way to describe the Glock 33 is, it is tame to shoot.   ;)    ;)

KJ here in Virginia I am finding just about any ammo I need, except for 380 acp.

Son got married 8/8, instead of a bachelor party he asked me if we could take some of the out of town guest to the range with a variety of hand guns.    ;D

I only got in a mag or two the rest of the time I was teaching, loading.

Went through 650 rounds and was able to replace almost all of it, had to clean nine guns over the next week.

Everyone love the idea, much better than dealing with a hangover.

Dino.  That sounded enjoyable.  Ammo here in NC is scarce as hens' teeth.  I've bought all the .357 sig ammo I can find and that's only 3 boxes of 50; have 2 left.

I have that many to clean as well and sometimes more when I get back from Ga.  I don't shoot the .380 due to not being able to find that either.  I have 2 boxes of 20 so I'll just hang on to those.
