Stone Fox notwithstanding, the following link is from noted revolver gunsmith Grant Cunningham.

I still like the JUDGE.  Its' fit and finish seem good to me and I'm really hard to please in that area.  No complaints from me on this particular gun.

I can appreciate your pride of ownership and the JUDGE serving its intended purpose well. Grant's comments were directed in a general point of observation from his critical eye.

The 21 or so comments from readers on this link were interesting and more than just a few like the Taurus.

On second thought after another look the "chick" looked more like a stone than a fox but the shock and awe was impressive.

I now have a Judge -- the Public Defender model -- with 3 inch barrel and small frame grip.

Fired it for the first time this weekend.  I was prepared to be underwhelmed with .410 ammo, but I wasn't.

The Federal .410 handgun throws four OOO buck (.36 cal) pellets at over 800 fps with just enough but not too much spread.  Pretty impressive.  Recoil similar to a featherweight revolver shooting +P ammo.

I'm impressed everytime I shoot mine.  I'm now going to look for the 000 buck, as I've been shooting the #4 & #6 shot.  Mine is the 3" Magnum with 3" barrel stainless.
