Mine works real good.  The "gotta have the newest thing out" feeling for me has now moved to the release of the Kahr P380 in June.  The LCP is nice though.  I more than likley will sell one of my LCPs to when it gets time to pick up my P380.

I have the Ruger too.....150 rounds and NO MALFUNCTIONS at all. This is how the Keltec should have been made..and I would guess Ruger should be sued if Keltec copyrighted the P3AT. This is a lovely gun for mowing the lawn and having it in my pocket for the "dirty" jobs around the house. Times I would not dare harm my lovely Rohrbaugh.

The fit and finish is GREAT..great extraction..no pin walking..no double feeds... ok accuracy.

The only  bad things are a very rough rifling in the barrel and the slide stop is NOT designed to lock back on the last round..ohhh ya and you can't re-strike without racking the slide.

I have 2 KELTECS and they BOTH are a POS..many FTE..pin walking ect. The one I made work was traded off..and the hopeless one was sent back to be "fixed"  ::) (hope they send me a RUGER instead)

I give it a great buy and KELTEC should be run out of business by a better design of their own gun...sad really

The Kel-Tec P3AT that I've shot has been flawless quite accurate considering......Kel-Tec and Ruger are in on this one together, no sueing going on.  ;)

Welcome to the Forums.....I'm new, too, but have really enjoyed the place.....have fun.  :)

Do you have info on that?  Are you suggesting a license of the design by K-T to Ruger?

ya I even heard scuttle-butt that they were sueing Ruger and Ruger was not making anymore LCP for now......again.. no sources..just poop house rumor

Being connected to a Company in the business, Kel-Tec, had and has no patents on the gun, there was even a little dealer in Orlando trying to get his Arab hands on building the gun away from Kel-tec..but it was too expensive.  Ruger has been playing with this for over two years,,,, They cannot be sued because again there is no Patent, and the gun is a little bigger, this is only what I was told, mine should arrive shortly, I have a 32 keltec that has been cleaned up, with new wolf guide rod and springs, throated and shoots heavy loads all day long...regards  Dan

I have it. L O V E it. 500 rds NOT ONE FTF FTE GREAT GUN.. So much better than my P3AT. I can hit the target with this.
Waiting for my first R-9 to arrive and give my wife the Ruger which I trust her life to. (Oh, and I like my wife)

P.S. I'll have some black carbon Fiber grips for sale soon.

I'm mistaken.....I mis-read an article and did not get the gist of the story. I'm sorry to have stated wrong info.  :-[

I do agree that if Ruger just took the design, patented, copyrighted or not.....it's still pretty $hitty of them and makes me wonder about Ruger now that Bill is gone.

Thing is, Bill Ruger didn't care much for us civilians carrying guns.  I am encouraged by their recent move toward CCW guns, but I wish I knew the whole story on the LCP.

I spoke to the gun's designer at the SHOT Show and he seemed to deny any unusual resemblance.  ;)

I just shot a LCP yesterday on my lunch, and then pulled out my R9 and shot a few rounds.  The R9 doesn't have much more recoil and actually feels much more substantial even though it's not much wider at all.  A friend of mine is going to buy one based on cost, but he LOVED my Rohrbaugh.  

Again, with my large hands that little LCP would be nice to have in case of emergency but definitely not my choice at the range.

Even if the P3AT wasn't patented... maybe something based on trade dress?  Ruger has blatently stolen, didn't even make any improvements.  There's usually not enough money in the gun industry, to justify any major law suits, but, IMO Ruger's behavior in this is down right revolting.
