My handguns
« on: November 02, 2005, 08:23:23 PM »
Seeing all of R9sCarry's great pictures inspired me to emulate him.  Since I enjoy looking at the collections of others I thought I might share mine.  Hope you enjoy.

R9s with Hedley holster

My first pistol.  Ruger Mark II .22lr

My primary carry, G-23 .40S&W

My favorite.  Colt Python 2 3/4" barrel .357 mag.  Hoping to acquire the 4" and 6" to complete the trio.

My hunting sidearm.  Target Grey GP-100 .357 mag

What the R9s replaced, though it still sees occasional duty. P-32

Sig .380, once upon a time carry, but I just like the look.

Beretta 92FS, one nice handgun

Had to have a Colt .45.  This is a Series 70 Mark IV. Very accurate.

Rocnerd,
SWEET! Excellent pictures of some very nice handguns. I hope you don't mind, but I've downloaded a few of your picures to use as my computer background/wallpaper. I rotate my wallpaper every week or so with a differnt gun picture. Your pictures will make a great addition to my collection.

Rocnerd, have you ever had any malfunctions with your P-32?

I never see any bad reports about that pistol.

Yes, the first time I took it out the retaining pin spring got wedged in between the plastic of the frame and the metal of the rails.  I sent it back to Kel-tec and turn around was quick and no failures since with 300 rounds or so through it.

Thanks for all the compliments everyone (Edman, don't mind at all). Lets see some of your guys photos!

Brenden, I was extremely fortunate with my P3AT.  Not a problem.  Of course, I got the R9S anyway because I wanted 100% reliability, which it has provided so far.

My fingers are still crossed.

I couldn't make my P-32 work at all.  So I sold it and bought a first generation P-3AT.  The P-3AT kept losing it's pin.  So I sold it and bought a Rohrbaugh.  Success at last!

Kel-Tec had a wonderful concept about being inexpensive, and light and small.  Who could resist?

It's a shame they couldn't take another step to make sure all are 100% going out the door.

I'll say one thing about the P3AT.  The slide is very hard to operate.  They should probably send along a big hand grip with a hook just to pull on the slide.

At the target range, it helps to keep filling the magazine, with one in the chamber.  That way, you can forget about the slide.

That's another pistol that might respond well to abrasive tape on the grip.

My P-3AT's slide isn't that hard to manipulate...  ??? I wonder if that was a problem with your gun Michigunner?

Good question.  It was extremely hard to work, made even worse by the small grabbing area.

I remember reading about it on their forum.

Part of the problem could be less hand strength compared to that of a younger person.
