Rohrbaugh size comparison pic
« on: April 01, 2005, 07:51:37 PM »
Hi everyone! While googling around today I came across this picture that shows a size comparison to some of the other guns that are in the Rohrbaugh’s league. I hope it’s a good reference for you guys. And I hope it’s not a repost either.

It’s right here:   http://tinypic.com/2j8hhs

If you go by the date at the top right of the picture, it looks to be a very recent image (yesterday - 3/31/05).  I've never seen this picture either.

The R9 has a polymer frame?  ??? ???

Any idea where this picture came from?

Wow I didn’t even catch that typo! Good eye Wayne! I suppose it’s just some random guy(or gal). I just came across it googling around today, I had some time on my hands, and figured it would be a good size reference for everyone here. I’d like to know who made it as well, and if he owns any of them.

This is a thread running on THR

http://www.thehighroad.org/showthread.php?t=132788

The typo (which I confess I missed myself initially!!) has been drawn to attention there now.  I was going to post here about this - as the pic does show a useful selection of sub 6" pocket pieces.

Chris - thanks for the link, just read it myself.

Logical, if you are the same person as the "logical" on the THR forum, great post!

Keep in mind that the PPK and .38 snub J frames are 6.2-6.3" long.  The steel framed .38 is 22-23 ozs when loaded with 158 gr lhp's, and may be an oz heavier due to having "boot grips" on its butt.  The PPK is 21 ozs empty.

The guy Bobo - doing the chart - has made some changes - and I think is getting closer to a final version soon.

On the FAQ site I have an earlier one but will update that when possible.

rory - welcome to the forum! :)

robert - welcome!!!  :)

That pic is somewhere!  OK here we go - tho not ideal as a true ''side-by-side'' but best I have.  KT P32 (or P3AT) - the R9 and the P11.

BTW guys - the latest update pic for the size comparison chart is now on the FAQ site HERE and there is a nice PDF version you can grab too.

And robert - go to this page for a load of pics of R9 against all sorts of stuff.

Thanks for the picture, Im trying to decide if getting an r9 to replace my p11 Diference in size and weight is minimal with the difference of 4 more rounds, im a little consern about reliability, when it come to a gun you carry for protection nothing but 100% reliable is acceptable.

Hi everyone! I apologize for bringing this thread back from the dead, but has this size reference chart ever been updated by this Bobo guy ??? ? The last one I could find was the 5/14/05 update in the FAQ section here. It’s a great piece of work, I just want to know if he ever updated it.

Alfonso - I think I do have a more up-to-date version tho IIRC changes fairly small.  I will have to check and see and then update on the FAQ site.

I had been waiting after last update because of knowing small changes were still planned - in order to ry and finalize.  Since then time has whizzed by as usual.

I will check this out soon as I can and post once I have got the latest version I had on the site.
