the only thing I would add to my earlier comment is easiest to keep the assembly all within the mag housing rather than letting it escape, or protrude out the bottom. if it does get out on you, it is like cats in a sack. they're easier to let out than put back in. better to press it in a little too much.

thanks one and all for your help,

got excited, and while you guys were commenting on how to put mag extentions on , i was using plastic end of small paint brush to depress baseplate (paint brush doubles as slide pin punch) slid off plate 3/4 way off while keeping inner plate secure with fingure / slid hooked mag. on behind it. hook mag. fits middle and ring fingure like a glove and pinkey rests underneath hook ,feels like custom made for me. next range report#2 for pup born jan. 2011 forthcoming.
