Pics first - so something to refer to and even save for later.
I have almost no time for forums these days but am making a rare visit here. The time has come to move on my trusty R9s - reluctantly. Circumstances dictate I need to "thin the herd" and, having so much value tied up in just this one gun, feel I need to sell if anyone is interested. Let me outline some assorted details.
My first R9 was a very early one which I sold some time ago - a rather special item as it had the blue carbon fiber grips and was a very early serial number. I did some testing with that one but decided to go mad and get another so as to then keep #1 as my collectible. The second one is also very early - #R300!! It too had the blue grips but those were sold to someone who wanted them and I changed over to the then new G10 black grips.
This gun has had very modest ammo though-put - estimated to be only around 100 to 150 rounds and is of course a "Farmingdale" model, and is all but NIB condition. It has been carried a few times but has not suffered from that as, it was invariably in a pocket "Sidekick" holster or in a Pro-tec ankle rig. It still has its box and paperwork plus too I have a number of spares such as springs, grip screws etc. The magazines are a slightly later version which had had an improvement made.
Some may have seen my now very old site for the R9 -
http://www.acbsystems.com/boards/rohrbaugh/ - in which long ago I did an article about adding "Bright Sight" paint spots to the sights - this gun has those and I feel they do assist. The frame has some coarse grip tape added which helped grip for my big hands on a small frame.
To be more precise with spares of which there are many and which over time Eric helped me with ..... several large main springs including two newer ones with closed coil each end. Spare inner springs, spare pins, spare trigger/sear springs (they live under right side grip panel), spare spring end cup. Numerous spare grip screws and a spare pair of grips in G-10 which have a hint of blue color in places, and an older set of mag springs and followers too. Altogether a handy set of bits to maintain your R9 in tip top condition.
Pictures show - the case with gun, spare holsters, 2nd mag, plus rather poorly lit inserts of the "Farmingdale" marking and the serial number. Other pic is a pile of the previously mentioned assorted spares.
Anyone interested PM me, and then we can switch to email if useful. I have made the price of $915 inclusive, so - it covers transfer, shipping, all the spares, and also the Sidekick pocket holster and the Pro-tec ankle rig. I have to make the price realistic as if no takers, then I keep it! If I will miss one thing about this great little gun, it's the smooth as butter trigger!
