Scratches on Elite slide

If you carry your Elite, like I do, it will pick up mark/scratches on the slide. Eric recommended oiled 600 grit sandpaper on a piece of granite. Truth is I was timid to take sandpaper to it so I tried Mothers Mag and Aluminum Wheel Polish. a 1/2 pea size drop CAREFULLY rubbed with a clean cotton cloth done 5-7 times will get back to new in 20 minutes.
Sandpaper is probably quicker BUT not for us timid.
