Having a gun in your hand is much more effective than having the entire police department on the phone!

You can say the again!

I have been wanting to try one of the new R51's  and there is a $100 rebate on those also.

At Bud's they are $303 shipped so that is $203, ordering now.

With prices and rebates like this, one has to wonder if this is a successful product for Remington...

I would have to agree.

It seems to me that Remington has been successful at poisoning their own brand with attempts to cut costs that have turned sour for the buyers.

Perhaps with sluggish sales, Remington wants to entice buyers to try these two new handguns. Once they have a decent track record, back to "normal pricing" would ensue and, perhaps, even some sort of longevity so they can move forward designing more handguns with the public actually liking them. Time will tell.......... I'm certain of that.

With gun sales at all time highs they should realize that they are having to discount products because people don't want them. Well that and all their recalls hasn't helped.

Damn! That's $113.00 less than Karl & I paid for our RM380s, and we had "Special Pricing" at the time. The only thing I can say is we have low serial numbers. Mine is something like 00000099C. Oh well, I should have waited for the rebates!  lol

I'm waiting for the $99.99 deal for a negative net price.

I purchased a second RM380 from Palmetto State Armory, for $199.99 although they charge 17 bucks shipping. it will be a $99 gun after MIR.

Getting early ones, despite the price difference, may actually be a good thing. Look at Kimber. In the 1980's they were one of the best manufactures out there. Their reputation has gone down so far NOBODY with firearms knowledge would get one now.

They went from the top of the pile to a Kel Tec reputation. It is a sad thing to see American companies get in trouble.
