Jim Clark, Jr., of Clark Custom Guns Dies at 59

Mr. Clark, who was the brother-in-law of Jerry Miculek, customized a Colt Government Model 1991A1 for me, photographs of which I have previously posted to the Forum. He transformed the piece from just another 1911 into a functional work of amazing precision, total reliability, and beautiful art.

We have lost one of the great pistol smiths and competition shooters of all time.

My deepest sympathy goes out to the members of his family and his legion of friends.

I just purchased a 460 Rowland conversion for a 1911 from his company.

I have  three Bullseye guns which are all old and from his father's time at the shop.

A 22 LR High Standard, a Colt 1911 38 Super converted to 38 Special, and a Colt 1911 Heavy Slide in 45 ACP. 

The 38 Special is the nicest shooting auto loader I own.  I have never had anyone I let shoot it that did not ask if it was for sale.
