Finally found a sub 2000 today. Snagged it for $359 👍

Ok I have been intrigued by the sub 2000 for over a year now. Only problem is that the only ones that could have been bought were $550 when retail is $359ish.

Now let's face it, this gun will never will a beauty contest. I went to a LGS today after visiting a job site in southern IN (yes I do actually work Tracker...kinda) and saw a .40 sub 2000 in Glock format.

I snagged it and was able to shoot it today. Surprisingly smooth. The .40 wasn't bad at all and at close combat range it is spot on.

Kind of a cool gun. I can't believe they are $350!! Check it out ...

That is a fine piece Count.

I like the bull pup design. I know nothing about the brand, but it's a fine looking piece.

I like the nasty little sub 2k though. Interesting piece IMO, but you are right the Tavor is the other side of the spectrum for sure.

Classy high end vs down and dirty crude but effective.

You made an excellent buy, Josh. I think George Kellgren is a genius. The Sub 2000 with a .40 Glock magazine is a formidable short to medium range weapon. Although Kel-Tecs are viewed by many as cracker-jack quality I own a .380 and 9mm as back-up throw aways and have had 100% reliability from them. They have some new carbines coming out soon that will be interesting but nothing in the $400 price range.

Glad to hear. I don't have much experience with the kel-tec yet, but I am always impressed with small and 100% reliable!!

Then throw in affordable and I am all in. Not that I don't believe in and buy costly weapons (I do), but it kinda makes a no brainer especially if you are the type to run thousands of rounds through a weapon. I would hate to do that to some of my nicer stuff with aluminum frames etc. Polymer has its place.

Kinda like if all of the workforce were too good to get dirt under their fingernails or dirt on their shoe. Or if all were secretarial. Or all were lumbering ox-like behemoths.  I have an appreciation for diversity. Everything and everyone doing their part makes for an awesome team or arsenal whichever the case may be.

I have a KSG and I would liken dumping all 15 rounds to bronco busting a wild mule.

It's a little crude... but very effective.

Put another box down range tonight with my 17 yr old son.

Nice little carbine. Not bad at all to handle and for what it is designed for I found it pretty accurate. A lot easier to hit out at 50 ft than a handgun for sure.

I'm pleased. The folding ability to ride along in a backpack if needed as well as swap mags with my G22. Pretty innovative IMO.

The other thing that I'm tempted by is the Hi-Point.

I've hated the way it looks for years - like a prop out of the original Planet of The Apes movie, but everyone who owns one says they accurate and dead-nuts reliable.

Now, HI-POINT is definitely a name I would have dismissed as a reliable gun. Sometimes things change, either better or worse. If someone other than me has the courage to buy a recent model I would like to hear a report on it.

I was tempted by the Taurus CT-9 until I held one.

Somehow they managed to make the thing extremely heavy.  They list the weight at 6.6 pounds but it MUST be heavier than that.   Empty, it feels much heavier than a fully-loaded M-16.  I'd say it feels like it is 8 or 9 pounds.  I just can't see a use for it besides a vehicle carbine for police or something, I just can't see lugging it around when there are so many lighter options  The Hi-Point, which has a lot of extra plastic on it, weighs an honest 6.25 lbs empty.

Now, HI-POINT is definitely a name I would have dismissed as a reliable gun. Sometimes things change, either better or worse. If someone other than me has the courage to buy a recent model I would like to hear a report on it.

The mere mention of HI-POINT gives me a bad feeling.  My now ex-son-in-law (and thank God for the "ex" part) bought one of the things chambered for .380 ACP for my younger step-daughter before their divorce, the complaint for which I personally drafted.  That oversized butt-ugly thing would make a good dinghy anchor.  More than that I have nothing good to say about it.
