Renrew,
Thanks for posting.  This was very well done, and really made me stop and think.

 Wouldn't it be much healthier for the violent criminals if the government just made people that do not keep guns in their house put a sign in front so that the bad guys could be more selective?
 
Sarcasm aside, I really do think that a whole lot of liberal ideas would be avoided and even undone if an amendment to the constitution was passed that simply made any laws that limit citizens rights apply equally to federal employees, like Obamacare.  Also make it so that any benefits they pass for themselves apply to all citizens, like federal retirement packages.

Aren't they always saying that they just want everything to be fair?

Very point about making everything equal. I'm sure we would not be dealing with current restrictions if the same restrictions applied to lawmakers.
