What about my multiple $3,000.00 + custom build 1911s? Those have a soul???

I am not on here to talk crap or start anything at all... Just giving you guys a hard time!!! I can appreciate the quality of a well built firearm obviously with my extensive high end 1911 collection... The R9 just wasn't for me...

TKR:

Custom build $3,000.00+ 1911s are all about "soul." To wit:

I've enjoyed the repartee. Don't be a stranger around here. This Forum thrives on civil, and often humorous, exchanges of opinion.

Oh I won't go anywhere... I own a 1911 forum, and like to be active on other forums... Nice 1911 you have there... What are the details on it?

Thank you, Sir. That pistol started life as a "Plain Jane" Government Model Colt. Clark Custom Guns then performed the following work on it:

* Trigger job.
*  Aluminum match trigger set for a 4.5-pound pull.
*  Throating and polishing of the barrel and frame.
*  Lowering and flaring of the ejection port.
*  Tuning of the extractor.
*  Tuning of the ejector.
*  Installing an extended tactical thumb safety.
*  Beveling the magazine well.
*  Installing a "King Beavertail" grip safety.
*  Installing a Clark "Big Bushing."
*  Off-setting the firing pin bushing.
*  Dehorning the entire pistol ("Clark Meltdown").

The pistol was then sent to Bob Cogan at AP&W for hard chrome plating. Other modifications include the Bo-Mar adjustable sights, LaserMax, and Sambar Stag grips shown in the photograph. More recently, I had one of the Safety Fast Shooting systems designed by Bill Laughridge at Cylinder & Slide installed to see if I liked it. I do, and it remains installed in the gun today.

If you would ever like to post some photos of your own custom 1911s, there are a lot of 1911 devotees here on the Forum.

That sounds like that is a really nice build! I have another build coming to me in about a week or so, and then I am going to take some good pics... I will definitely post em here!
