I've decided to retire my R9. I shot it yesterday, seven times with Gold Dots and no FTF. It just doesn't satisfy me. I'll trade it or it'll go to my son when that time comes. Some of you know its story but briefly. I bought it from a guy from Utah. He was not interested in sharing its history, thus I don't know. It is used thus no warranty will attach. I've shot it about 200 times. It has its 2nd new style spring installed. I don't see any cosmetic defects but it may have some that I don't see. I put a piece of colored tape on the front sight and had to rub there to remove some glue residue. Some "polishing" may have occured there but there are no scratches that I can see. I make no guarantee. I had two or three snaps that happened with Fiocchi ball. They did fire with a second trigger pull. I've had no failure to fire of eject with 115 Gold Dots. Could find nothing else to shoot. Twice it hesitated to load the first shell from the mag but did with a little manipulation.
It came with and comes with plastic case, two mags, two old style recoil springs, letter size color print instructions, orange bicycle lock, and a Raven Tactical Products pocket holster. Rivets on one side of holster have lost some paint. I bought and will include 4 grip screws (I've never removed grips but feared I may lose a screw), two new style, adittional recoil springs, a spare take down pin (this is the original that was too tight for easy removal. the one in place still ain't easy but easier than it was), and a complete recoil spring assembly ( paid $54.00, installed once, fired to see if working and put back in the bag. also has a recoil spring not counted in the others).
Has an interesting serial # RXXX (X=X).
I like only quality stuff. The greatest asset the Rohrbaugh has IMO is its quality machining. Not interested in Rugers or anything that has "dummy mssages". It's not set in stone that I'll trade unless you have something that appeals.
Any trade will have to be done through FFLs. My FFL is out of town till next Friday. I will deal face to face with a legal citizen of Arkansas but I'm limited in the traveling that I can do.
I don't know how to handle one last thing. A new guy from around Dallas wanted to know if I should ever decide to move the Rohrbaugh. I've lost his message and can't remember his name. I don't mean to slight that person but don't know what to do.
