I think that I read someplace that the front strap is so thin that the only checkering that they can do is 40LPI.

I have had three customizised by Cogan. All were 40LPI. It provides adequit grip and makes a big improvement.

Z, have you noticed the checkering catch on your shirts when you carry IWB or OWB? Also, does the checkering irritate your skin? I put some of the sandpaper type grip tape on the front and back strap but had to take the back off. It kept rubbing my skin raw.

I have never carried the R9 IWB, always in a pocket. I dont think it would catch on your shirt or irritate yout skin, it is a fine checkering. it is Unlike the sandpaper tape that can be rough.

Ok, thanks for the reply! Should have the funds to send it in soon if I don't keep spending on other things. Just ordered a set of grips from Esmerelda yesterday for my 1911. I'll have to post pictures of those as soon as I get them in!
