Probably one of my cohorts using this PC for internet use. This forum is the default "home page" and automatically gets opened upon opening the browser...

I am now "permanently" back in the office. All who ordered boxes will receive those very soon.

Blue carbon grips are in the works.

Corey was sent the cocobolo pair yersterday for his perusal. He can test fit them and check functionality. Once he is done with them he can send them to Richard S for his opinion. Then we can go from there on who wants what.

I apoligize immensely for all the delays but the big moula and family must come first and goes without saying amongst the members of this forum.

Speaking of family, IF, any of you had ever visited Busch Gardens, Tampa, between the years of say '77 thru '90ish and watched the "Elelphant show in the Stanleyville theater", that guy was my uncle. He "exited stage left" last week. Dude loved to start bar fights...I guess pachyderms were to easy to "tame"...he'll probably start a fight in purgatory when he gets there. Also, Some of you were aware my dad was having health issues as well....he's fine now and aggrevating me again so I assume everything is back to normal there. BTW: He also worked at Busch Gardens and retired from there as Curator of Mammals and was employee number 6!...oh the stories from that place long ago....

Alright nuff ramblin...back to work ;)

P7.  Welcome back.  Sorry to hear of your Uncle and glad your Dad is now OK.

Those carbon fiber blues sounds interesting, for sure, as does the cocobolos.

P7, again welcome back. Hope you can stay awhile this time. Great story of your dad and uncle at Busch Gardens. Sounds like you might have had a fun time growing up. As to the cocobolos, I don't suppose you would be interested in making some for your namesake. I'm getting really tired of Nill and MacTec waltzing me around the backorder bush everytime I order from them. I called Esmeralda yesterday and tried to talk her into making some of her fantastic creations for the P7. She just kinda snickered and changed the subject. Sure would be great if she would.       Gene

I have a plethora of broken Nills here. Sometimes I can fix them, sometimes not. We are playing with P7 type varieties in different species. Like all "grip applications", it all hinges on "what the role" of the weapon is. CC or duty work rules out just about all woods on a P7 and drives a composite material. Occasional carry or BBQ guns can obviously be less "robust"...sky is the limit there.

If you want something in particuliar, all I need is the model type. If its a PSP then I need to know what heel release you have. (Heelers...aaarrggh, sorry Rich..couldn't resist ;D)

Enigma:

It's good to have you back from playing in the sand.

You have my deepest sympathy on the passing of your uncle. From your description, he sounds like a man I would have enjoyed knowing.  It's been quite a few years since my bar hopping days, but there was a time . . . .   I'll send up a message to my sainted mother asking her to get a SITREP on him and use her considerable influence to get him bailed out of purgatory if needed.   ;)

As for that "heeler" of mine, somewhere in the Other Guns section you will find that it is no longer the Rodney Dangerfield of the P7 world. It doesn't have one of those fancy plastic heat shields of which the M8's are so proud, but it "cleaned up pretty good," as the saying goes around this neck of the woods.   8)
