wow - that is all I can say, what a beauty - Phil, you took real good care of her over the past few years -
I can't believe the fit and finish on the magazines - amazing.
I can break her down and assemble fairly easily. What seems to work best for me is to insert the guide rod first, compress and slide the barrel behind. My glock take down tool works pretty darn well for inserting and removing the barrel pin.
My FFL even had gold dots in stock. 124gr
I did chamber a round for the first time, loaded six in the mag, racked the slide and the bullet nosed dived into the feed ramp and sorta jammed. - I re-racked it (more like half racked - wiggled) and the cartridge went in. I removed the mag to top it off and noticed that it dented the case. You could see how the first round nosed up the feed ramp and the tail dug into the cartridge below (the next cartridge in the mag)
Has anyone experienced this?
Any way, I am truly amazed at the quality and simplicity of this piece of hardware. I love the G-10 grips, I don't think I will change a thing. Possibly a little paint on the front sight.
