Rohrbaugh R9 & R9s picture request
« on: January 10, 2010, 07:57:31 PM »
Hello, I am looking for pictures of the Rohrbaugh R9 and R9s. Specifically, I would like to see the difference in the sights on the two different models. I have searched the internet and I cannot seem to find pictures of the sights. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

spd707.  Welcome to the Forum.  Here's a picture of an older model, since been sold, with sights.

Here's a picture with the Rohrbaugh manual with both the R9 and R9s.
The R9 does not have sights.  The Rohrbaugh R9 in the picture does not have sights.

There are plenty. Just Google either and then hit Images on the top left of the page. Maybe someone will post pics too.

Here is one that I quickly found...

Far left = R9 (no sights)
Other three = R9s (with sights)

spd707,
Welcome to the forum.
You can see from ccoorreeyy's photo all the permutations of our favorite little carry pistol.  The two center ones have been customized with porting and machined 'dimples' for painted sight dots.  (Rohrbaugh didn't do the custom work.)
With due respect to John Taffin (writer for Guns and American Hangunner magazines), ccoorreeyy has a "Passel of Perfect Packin' Pistols"!!  And I'm jealous....  :D

Thanks everyone!  The pictures were exactly what I was looking for.  I have decided that I am going to go with the R9s.  I have found one at what I believe to be a good price so we'll see if I can close the deal.

Thanks again!

Good judgement.  Not that you're going to use the sights, maybe in sighting in, as the R9 and R9s are for defensive purposes.  The pistol just looks better with sights.  My opinion only.

Nice looking bunch of R9's there ccoorreeyy. Does the porting reduce felt recoil very much?
