First of all, welcome to the Forum and congratulations on selecting the finest pocket pistol yet produced.
I've owned and carried my early-edition Farmingdale R9 for over five years. I haven't kept a round count, just shooting it occasionally to maintain familiarity. I'll clean it after every range session and sometimes in between just for the enjoyment of the process. Every 200 rounds or so, I'll put in a new recoil spring.
The R9 is an up-close personal defense weapon which Karl Rohrbaugh has said was intended to be "carried much and shot little." Some owners, however, have run more than 5,000 rounds through their R9s. I personally prefer not to push mine like that. For such work, I'll use one of my 1911s.
Good luck with your new masterpiece.
