Shot My R9s
« on: April 23, 2009, 11:45:35 PM »
Picked up my R9s Tuesday, and shot it Wednesday. Is shot great, I tried some different ammo, no problems except for Sellier Bellot, primers a little hard. All went well, was really very accurate at 7 yards. That little guy has some kick to it. Compared to my Kahr PM9, the Kahr I can shoot a lot longer without my hand hurting. Had fun, and happy with the Rohrbaugh, still like my Kahr equally as well.

I expect to pick up my Stealth today based upon express mail tracking. Isn't it amazing how we cling to these events like little kids?

Anyway, good weather is forecast this weekend so I would hope to shoot it then.

ACP!  Hope your Stealth comes in today!  I do look forward to these small events as they make our day.  Some are not so small, price wise, but still, non the less, make a contribution to our amazing travel through life.   :)   :)

Picked Stealth up. I am taking my time instead of going off half cocked which is difficult, given that R9 is DAO.

ACP,

Congratulations on your new R9 Stealth. The anticipation is very exciting, and when you get it thats exciting as well, but there is a bit of let down, probably why we keep adding to our collections, keeps the excitement going.

Thank you. Our favorite is always "the next one". However, I have done well and have been told not to drool on my new gun.

Love my R9s ACP - you took very good care of it.  And hopefully here shortly I'll be ordering that Stealth Elite from Tom.

I had a similar experiece on my first trip to the range.  I had heard this gun was fairly accurate, but was surprised at how accurate it really was.  I had great grouping in the 9 and 10 rings at 5yds, and decent grouping with a few in the 8's from 10yrds (used a standard silhouette target).  After about 40+ rounds my palm did start to get a little sore, but I expected that, and it's not like the R9 was designed for extensive range time.

Overall I'm extemely happy. (unlike my first trip to the range w/ my Micro Eagle....)

Is that a 9mm in your pocket, or are you just happy to see me?

Jason

Good to hear from you and I am happy that you like the gun.

I like the Stealth a lot. Since I got one without sights, I am thinking about getting a Stealth with sights to keep it company.
