After reading the posts here, I have a pretty good feel for the fit, finish and quality of the gun. I have some 'more abstract' concerns maybe you guys could comment on.
Is a Rohrbaugh for me?
Backstory to the question: I buy very few guns - maybe one every few years if something strikes me. What I do buy are high end, high quality guns that are not only highly functional and reliable, but will maintain their value (not necessarily in terms of monetary...more later) over the decades and through generations. Guns in our family never leave. We have military and civilian weapons dating back to the Civil War.
So, when I saw Rohrbaugh R-9 - super high quality and reliability from a small company - it jumped out at me as a must purchase at some point.
So in terms of everything you've read so far, does this piston meet the requirements of high quality, good fit and finish, complete reliability, with an heirloom factor added in for generations to come?
Any input or ramblings would be appreciated.
Thanks
