EMT, I too am a new member, so feel a bit odd welcoming you to the group, but... welcome! The reason I chime in is that you and I apparently have some things in common... I too am in SE PA, I have another brand of pocket gun (Ruger LCP) and am VERY interested in owning a Rohrbaugh. If you are interested in comparing notes. please send me a private message through the forum.
Here are a couple of thoughts that may help you...
1- There is a dealer listed on the Rohrbaugh website who is based in Topton, PA... The Handgunner Custom Gunshop.
I contacted them and spoke with a guy named Jeff. He did everything he could to talk me out of a Rohrbaugh and into a Kel-Tec or Sccy. He even said a Rohrbaugh is not a pocket gun because it is too heavy. I told him they are 12.8 oz w/o a magazine, and he told me they are heavier than that. He is either a liar, or quite uninformed. Anyway, I called Maria at Rohrbaugh and told her of my experience with this dealer, so hopefully they will remove them from the website soon.
2- Maria told me they would be happy to work directly with my local gun shop to send the gun out. My local shop in New Holland, PA is willing to act as the delivery point, but have NO interest in carrying or supporting Rohrbaugh products (seemed a bit short sighted to me, but I suppose they have their reasons)
3- I have not had the opportunity to even hold a Rohrbaugh, let alone shoot one. Perhaps you and I could find some kind soul somewhere in the Northeast who would let us try our hand at theirs. If it is helpful, and we can work out the logistics, I am willing to fly us in my Cessna to an airport local to such a Rohrbaugh owner, where they would have to agree to pick us up and take us to their range.
PS. If there is a Rohrbaugh owner in NE USA, and would be willing to pick up me (and perhaps EMT) at your local airport, and take us to your range to fire your Rohrbaugh, that would at least be worth dinner
