New R9s and spoke to Karl R today......(!)
« on: March 07, 2008, 12:24:25 AM »
Picked up my first r9s stealth from ffl today.  I noticed it had scraping on the barrel on top above where 9mm is inscribed.  I thought it was defective so I called the company on my way home.  Karl himself returned my call 20 minutes after I left the message! He explained the scraping is normal and nothing to worry about.  Wow, now I'm really impressed with this company.  If this pistol shoots half as well as the company treats its customers, I'm in for an excellent range experience.

I've learned a lot in the past months on the p7 cult forum and that's where I also heard about the r9.  Great to be a part of this forum too.  I will post a range report as soon as I get to the range with this gun.

Trying to post some pics.   We'll see if it works...

RJ

Congratulations on the wonderful purchase.

Interesting that a scrape would be considered as normal, though.

Good luck.

Congrats! I have the same one, just a higher serial number.

My R9S has the same scrape. I didn't even think to inquire about it. Glad you posted that it wasn't an issue.

Nice pictures and congrats.......

All of my pistols that have been shot have 'scrapes' on the barrel hood from unlocking/locking.....nothing to fret about, IMO.  ;)
