« on: January 29, 2008, 10:58:17 AM »
Your help guysplease -
My R9 is an early serial number (under 400) and has the "bluish" CF grips -I have 2 mags one w/pinky extension ...ran maybe 100 rounds through it ....I was told these have some + value  .
Can someone clue me in ? Thanks in advance

Depends on who "values" what!!

I find the blue CF grips the most desireable, that's my opinion..These are on the "early' made pups and I was told by Karl R that 300 sets were made..

Your gun is an R prefix serial # gun I assume..

I like mine that I have, but I have for sale one of the true R9s models on this forum as we speak.. ;)

I like the early guns-not any experience with the newer ones though..

Not much help,I am sorry..

Emjimb:

One or two R9s such as you describe have sold for $1,000 - $1,200 on GunBroker.com recently.  The blue carbon fiber grips alone could probably be sold for $250 on this Forum.

Yet Brenden's has not sold here at the bargain price of $850 including shipping. Go figure.

It's not for my lack of wanting it. I offered to buy it for my little wife, but she proclaimed it "too much gun" for her and said she wanted nothing larger than her LWS32. At the price Brenden is asking, that is a real bargain!

A bargain is what I wanted someone to get here on the Rohrbaugh Forum!! ;D

I bought the pup to put away because it is one of the earliest models made-and the grips are simply the most beautiful ones I have seen!!  8)

If some things had not changed,I would not be selling this now..It will go onto other boards and GB if need be shortly..

I know that Rohrbaugh sold the black CF grips for approx. 170.00 when they had them..Ask me how I know?? ;)

They need to bring the CF grips back out. G-10 is lame in this price range.
