DVC: thanks for sharing the "good report"; also glad to hear that your index finger did not get beat up as mine did. You gotta love that little pup!

DVC - I hate to seem ignorant but where do you get said skateboard tape?? Your work sure looks good. I recently bought a " gently used " R9s and had a few problems after about 30 rds but I was not letting it cool more than the time to reload and it is an older model with old springs( both recoil and mag) and about 35 original rds through it. I think a combination of dirty and hot possibly caused all my failures, which was only two if I don't consider the large hollowpoints I tried(not GDHP)!! I am going to use the two mags and cool method next time AND I'm going to try some Silvertips but I am torn on which weight. The web of both hands sure got red though.....

DVC:

Thanks for the good range report! These R9s are the most easily concealed, high quality 9mm handguns I have ever seen. Mine has become my most frequently carried weapon -- pretty much my 24/7 pistol, replacing the venerable G380 which previously held that distinction. (Lately it has often been accompanied by my newly acquired P7 -- two real "heaters" for sure.   ;) )

Good information. I was unaware of the hazards of working with G10. Thank you for your input.
