First a big thanks to all those that sent a warm welcome! On this 2nd range visit I followed your advice ( 2 mags then let her cool).
The following results were from a distance of 5 yards:
1. started off with 2 consecutive mags of Speer 124 gr Gold Dots: no problems except my right index finger really paid a price. Observation: these rounds feel much hotter than the Winchester 115 gr Silver Tips but not as accurate.
2. let her cool off while I went to my Glock 17 then came back to her and fired 2 consecutive mags of Winchester 115 gr Silver Tips. Observation: more comfortable to shoot and dead on accurate - 4 rounds were in about 1/2-3/4" grouping and right in the sternum!
Needless to say the guys around me were impressed with the accuracy and the very manageable recoil!
I have a box of Speer 115 gr Gold Dots on order but I kinda feel like I favor those Silver Tips
