As Bill mentioned RT - surround each URL with those tags - changing the braces as he mentions - or use the icon I described earlier.

There - that worked - so all I did was put the URL inside the tags - but here using non square tags for illustrative purposes.

That pic is rather too fuzzy focus but try and post the others.  You can do it!!!  :) ;)

Not sure if you're talking about something else -- but the slide comes back past the frame on mine, and my father's as well -- I always thought it was done to protect the hammer from being struck, if it fell.

Glad you cracked the pic posting RT :)

Well, have just checked my two early Farmingdales and slide/frame alignment is flush - no obvious slide ''plussage'' to rear at all.  I am wondering why this should be.  Maybe a small change has been made to slides over time.

Re the cratering - still a bit puzzled there too - sorta thing that makes me want to shoot the gun and inspect first hand.  I may have asked before but forget - what ammo was that being used?  

Cratering is often indicative of over pressure but can also be influenced by slide/chamber relationships too IMO.

There are three manufacturers of ammo which rules out ammo. Winchester white box 115 gr, hornady 124 gr TAP, and another brand I can't remember, but it is 115 gr and not +P. All are showing cratering, obviously. Pressure is only one thing that will cause craters, headspace will do so also since if the case head is not supported by the bolt face (in this case it appears to me, IMO, that the barrel shroud is higher than the cartridge which would leave a gap between the cartridge head and the bolt face) the case will slam back against the bolt face and flatten or crater the primer with normal pressures. Since the cartridge headspaces at the mouth of the case having the barrel bored too deep by 15 thousands of an inch would do the same thing. In both cases it appears to be the barrel.
I will call the plant. When I sent the gun back for the cracked slide, I had asked to talk to Eric or Karl and was unable to do so. Will try again. Mistakenly thought they were monitoring this forum.

Eric does look here at times, when he can, time permitting etc but I know he cannot manage to follow everything all the time.
