I've been to the range a few times and have had a problem racking the slide for the first round. It locks back, and I have to force it forward. I have placed 6 rounds in the slide...either GD 115 or GD 124, it doesn't seem to matter. What's really weird is the slide performs perfectly during firing; it always cycles properly and loads the next round. I'm wondering if the mag spring is too strong for the 6th round, causing it to have problems releasing from the mag and getting up the feed ramp? I can get the first round to chamber, but I have to force the slide forward, not just let it release on its own power. I also feel some resistance during the forward push of the slide, as if it's catching on something. When I do a takedown of the r9s for cleaning, I notice a slight "lip" just below the feed ramp. Is this normal? Considering the excellent tollerances of this firearm, I imagine this is normal, but I don't have anything to compare it to.
Thanks for your input.
