I don't usually comment on the .380 string but I was shocked to see two boxes of Remington .380 ammo on gunbroker for over $90.00!

The good news is that there were no bids, at least when I looked at it 2 days ago. I recall having read tracker's comment as to .380 shortage but this is ridiculous.

Ouch!  The last I paid 2 months ago for .380's was $18.50 a box  of 20, Gold Dots.

That is not a bad price for premium ammo.

The Remington .380 I saw on gunbroker was FMJ standard box of 50 rounds. It had a "buy now" feature that I think read $97.50.

If I ever pay $48.00 (and change) for a box of standard .380 ammo, just shoot me.

That might be an accurate asessment.  A year ago I had one Seecamp and now I have three Seecamps and the second Rohrbaugh is on the way.  Those things multiply like rabbits.  :)


So I wonder why they were no coined as "rabbitguns" and not "mouseguns". I would have made more sense.

Thank you kjtrains for the post of mouseguns. Wow; I never knew there were so many.

I have never owned a Seecamp but I know they are well made, but tiny! For years the Seecamp was the gold standard and was, (in my experience), allocated and sold above MRP.

However, the Rohrbaugh, for me, changed everything. I prefer the 9MM power although I have no wish to open the highly charged debate as to the efficacy of the .32 or .380.

Everyone on this forum knows the one about the .32 or .380 in the pocket being better than the gun you left at home.

One presumes tracker refers to flight; military at that. This is something, I for one, have great respect for and would venture a guess that very few of us on the forum have the honor to have enjoyed.

Thank you, sir; running out of altitude, airspeed, and ideas not only applies to military aviation but also to commercial and many other facets of life. As one of my astute friends once observed: "fuel is a substitute for brains."

Tracker flew warbirds off of aircraft carriers as a Navy pilot. I took up recreational flying after my Army service and "puttered" around the sky in a Cessna 150. However, I can still hear my old flight instructor's mantra, "Altitude is your friend."

(I can also still hear his admonishment on more than one occasion: %^&*  @#, you ain't driving your sports car here! Lighten up on the %^&* controls!"  ;D )
