Guncoat for touching up Stealth or Stealth Elite
« on: October 06, 2010, 08:42:02 PM »
Has anyone had any experience (positive or negative) in using Guncoat to touch up the stainless portion of stealth Elite slide. A small imperfection in the stainless side portion of the slide was sanded, smoothed, and now needs to be brought back to its matte black finish. It is located on the very back of the slide, where the shiny stainless (on the side) meets the matte black finish (which was originally finished with DLC).

I know there's a curing and baking cycle involved (sounds liked roast a pig at Christmas) - but I have someone close who has experience.

Any feedback?

I would talk to Rohrbauh first.

You have a very nice and expensive pistol there.

It just might turn out looking like a $5ooo nose job with a big scar on tip of the nose.
