compressed air cleaning

Lint and dust seems to accumulate up and behind the trigger.
Previously, I had flicked the stuff out with a q-tip but today I
used a can of compressed air with an extension tube on the
spray nozzle and it did a terrific job. Has anyone else tried
this technique?

I've thought about it several times but wondered if it (the compressed air) had any chemicals in it that I did not want on my gun.

That is a good thought, Corey, thank you. I have been thinking
about some of the aerosol gun cleaners I have used on other
guns like Gun-Clean and an even better one, LPS Micro-X
without any problems. It seems that a quick shot of Falcon
Dust-Off compressed air would not be harmful to the pup but
if anyone disagrees with that please say so.

Tracker,  I have been using compresssed air for years on all my guns from a Seecamp to a STI and all in between. Using a small compressor from Sears. It has a water catcher in line.
 I give the parts a good washing with Hoppe's #9 then spray with mineral spirits then the air..Parts come out bone dry.
Don't forget to lube/oil everything. I mean bone dry down to the metal.

I would not use air unless I was cleaning gun. Might blow lint, dirt, snow, what ever into parts you want to keep clean.
