One idea I had was to help supply front line troops with high grade weapons lubricant -- a known issue in the sandbox.
I have been testing and have been quite impressed with the new Slipstream lubricant from Crusader Weaponry:
http://www.crusaderweaponry.comCrusader has been actively involved in shipping Slipstream to active duty front line soliders overseas. I asked Joe Chetwood of Crusader how we could help and he said:
With a $25 donation you get two, one ounce bottles. How many it effects depends on how it's distributed. One bottle could take care of one soldier for a very long time. If it's put in the cleaning tent and used by everyone a bottle can take care of a squad a few weeks. Even after that the nano particles are embedded in the pores of the metal. Even after the oil is burned off the weapon will function as normal with the nano particles on the surface. Donated Slipstream will keep them in them in the fight longer and stronger. As part of the donation, Joe will make sure the Slipstream gets where it needs to go.
I would suggest that I can "pool" the donated funds and send it along from the forum. I will ask Joe to include a business card from the forum expressing our thanks to the servicemen.
What are your thoughts?
If you have any other or different ideas -- I would love to hear them too.
