His new Vibram KSO Trek shoes are packed up and ready for deposit into the U.S. Mail on my way home today.

Now its in the hands of the U.S. Post Office!

Gene asked something that I was thinking about...

I wonder if this is something we could do as a group more often?  If so, how would we go about it?  Or are we better off contributing as individuals to another established group?

Any ideas on how is the best way to help make a difference for our soldiers?

The Forum is your creation (with a little help from "TechGuy"   ), so I would think that the decision on how to handle the response here to deserving causes might best be left to your discretion on a case-by-case basis. Individual members who perceive a worthy cause could advise you by PM and you could post it if you deemed it worthy.

This forum is unique among Internet gun sites, I believe, in that it has remained functional, civil, and actually collegial under your administration for over six years now with a wide diversity in its membership. Perhaps it is the quality of the Rohrbaugh products which attracts quality members to the Forum. In any event, if you were to perceive or were advised of a cause which you deemed to be worthy of support and posted it to the Forum, I have no doubt that there would  be enough members who would be willing and able at the time to respond in such a way that the collective result could be meaningful.

I think a case by case basis is good, and through your recommendation, Duane, a Forum member could contribute as they wanted to; and as you stated above, quite a good amount could be raised.

Your ideas are good.  Most everyone wants to help and with your guidance, we'll be here to do some helping.
