S&W 38 or 9mm for Self Defense?
« on: November 03, 2009, 10:45:29 AM »
Ok  I'm sure I will get some good opinions here. Lets talk that both shells would be of equal qualities weather it's FJM or HP ammo or Critical Defense type and not the 357 mag because I dont think there is a equal in a 9mm. I really don't know which shell would be more devistating, but i guess I will find out here shortly.

Thanks, Bob

Bob:

Here's a link to one review written by Stephen Camp in April 2008:

With all the various loads available in either caliber, you can pretty well take your choice depending on your preference in type of handgun -- pistol or revolver. I personally come down on the side of the 9mm.

Bob.  Here's a link to a Forum that explains your question.
