Hello all,
Funny how the biggest controversy on the forum lately has nothing to do with guns...
There are a fair number of members who think the joke posts and photo posts are too much lately. The internet and e-mail is full of unsoliticed humor and such, and most people don't come here to look for it.
While I understand that people don't have to look, the fact is that most people visit the forum and check the "10 most recent posts" link to see what are the hot topics. I often do the same. These "non-gun content" posts can fill up some of the top 10 and people do have to look at them to see what the current threads are all about.
I don't want to say -- "no non-gun content posts allowed." I don't have the time to moderate that, and we do have a community here that shouldn't be so restricted. However, I would ask that we limit humor to a single thread and post with moderation and see how that goes.
It is not my intent to limit anyone or to sap all the fun out of this place. BUT, when there is an honest and persistent difference of opinion about how to run this board, I have to come down in favor of those who are saying "More Rohrbaugh Content" as opposed to diluting that content.
No offense intended to anyone here -- honestly. Thanks to all of you for creating a great forum environment.
