That Guardian has one other distiction of sorts -- it was the 64th sold. I got in line as soon as I heard of its impending development and release to the public, just as I did with the R9 when Team Rohrbaugh unveiled the prototype of what I consider to be the ultimate pocket pistol at SHOT 2002.

I doubt that any pocket pistol will ever replace R9 No. 132 for me, but the G-380 served its time reliably, just as did its equally "tricked-out little brother," a G-32 carried prior to the development of the G-380, both earning permanent places of honor in my gun safe.

Well... since my thread got a lil hijacked lol i will butt in some, nice nice looking guardian and like yankee said u can definitely blind someone wit it lol blind the  perp and then  shoot, ok well let me differ other than that gun looking cool, it is so not the gun i would ever buy as a ccw gun, am not to familiar wit naa guardian so i checked rhem out since its on this forum from my fellow r9rs i figured its worth a look, well to my surprise i got to say it was heart breaking it .93 thick thats thicker than a pm9 and waay thicker than the champion of ciurse that gun being my the r9 aka " pup" and its also heavy as heck at 18 ounces!! And to top it off its a .380??? But that would matter only depending on the person of course. Bottom line as nice as it looked before i seen the specs now it just looks dissapointing to be honest, sorry if am hard on this lil jewel but in a world were there .380 that weigh less than 9oz and are slimmer than .80 inches that guardian is pretty much absolete. Sorry guys but do explain to me why other than the looks someone would consider buying a naa guardian over the likes of kahp p380, s and w bodyguard, heck even a sig p238??

No arguments, JH. The Guardians were just what I considered to be the right guns at the right time in my progression toward what our fellow member, "Reinz," calls "The Holy Grail" of pocket pistols:

Wather PPK - 1963-1983
Colt Mustang  - 1983-1999
NAA G-32 - 1999-2001
NAA G-380 - 2001-2004
Rohrbaugh R9 - 2004-Present

Let me add mine and General Patton's favorite 380...the Remington M51, 1918 to 1927.
Some where in these posts I have a picture on mine, just can't find it now.

Read up on it, great gun to shoot and carry, 21 oz.

That Remington 51 is something to be treasured -- a true "legacy" gun:

In late 1943 Major General Kenyon A. Joyce visited Patton at his headquarters in Sicily.  He saw that Patton was wearing a revolver and suggested he should have an automatic pistol. Joyce tried to get his brother-in-law to obtain a Remington 51 and send it to him to give to Patton, but apparently the brother-in-law was unable to locate one. So when Joyce returned to the U.S. he contacted Roy C. Swan of Remington to see if he could obtain one.  Swan located a used one in Denver and had it refurbished at the Remington Factory. The gun was engraved “To George Patton / From his shooting partner of many years / Kenyon Joyce.”

Patton had the standard grips replaced with wooden ones with three ivory stars inset. There are a number of photographs of him wearing the Remington: the three stars stand out clearly in old black and white photographs. When he was promoted in 1945 Patton had new four-star grips made.  This is the gun he wore for the rest of the war, as well as after he returned to the States.

Neat information Richard, according to your post mine was made between 1921 and 1927.  

Mine belonged to a Navy man by the name of Kenneth Hammersley.  I worked for him many years beginnig in 1975.

When he died his son gave me the M51 and said he knew his Dad would have wanted me to have it.

I just remembered a bit of trivia related to the Remington 51. The next time you view the movie, Patton, watch for the scene when George C. Scott (in the role of Patton) is shown standing outside his HQ in North Africa firing a handgun at a Luftwaffe aircraft strafing the street and buildings. If you look closely, you can see that Scott is using a Remington 51. Perhaps that is because General Omar Bradley, who was then assigned to General Patton's command, served as a technical adviser in the film's production.

Know the scene well but never noticed the M51.  I'll look the movie up on Netflix next tiime the wife falls asleep early.

I also read a story about Patton at a formal in Russia, he had the M51 in his belt mixican carry while he was dancing, he not only droped it but then kicked it across the room.  

A Russian waiter saw what happened and returned the gun to a very embarrassed Patton.  :-/
