Seecamp 32 questions

I'm assuming a Seecamp is about the smallest gun in a "decent" caliber which exists.  

Is that correct?  Any particular problems to check for?  Anyone have much luck w. some custom grips for one?

*It's a wedding present for my, eventual, sister-in-law.  As even a P3AT prints terribly on a woman her size, I'm hoping to find something quite small for her.

I found it real handy when trying to compare sizes and specs.

Sorry, can't help you with custom grips...I don't have a Seecamp (maybe one of these days).

Here is my little wife's Seecamp .32 ACP with a pair of custom-made "old" (i.e., pre-ban) ivory grips carved by AJAX Custom Grips in Dallas. I had to send the Seecamp to AJAX for the process, and the grips cost about as much as the pistol itself. This pistol was what I called my "Dress Blue Sundy Gun" until I told my wife that she could have any pistol she wanted if she would move up in caliber from the NAA MiniMag she had been carrying. Little did I know that she had been rummaging through my gun safe and had already made up her mind. She immediately "requisitioned" the Seecamp as her own.  :o  And of course, she had to have a Hedley holster for her new treasure.

These days, the only contact I have with the Seecamp is to exchange the ivories for the original grips prior to range sessions and then to clean the pistol and reinstall the ivories when we get back home.  (The things I do for love.)  ;)


And here it is in its Hedley holster with my own "pride and joy" also wrapped in Hedley leather.  8)

Those grips are absolutely superb!!!  And the presentation box is also a thing of beauty.  But those grips, Wow!

Your wife certainly has good taste in guns.  ( I know!  You will say in husbands too.   :) )

PS The Hedley holsters also greatly enhance any pistol lucky enough to be carried in one.   :)

Aglifter,Yes the seecamp is one of the smallest and most relieable pistols made in my opinion. I own a SC .32 and NEVER had any problems with it and it carry's very comfortablely in a front or rear pocket. And as far as grips you'd have to have them custom made by someone, your wife will enjoy the pistol ;)

It's for my sister-in-law, I'm not married.  With that said, would stabilized wood be a strong enough material to make a pair of grips for one?
